Video Update: Mood Disturbance, Crazy Feet, and #wycwyc

In this installment, I share commentary about a recent run-in with my bipolar mood disorder, chat about my recent visit to a podiatrist (my feet are hilarious, y’all!), and mention the #wycwyc community chat on Twitter!

TL;DW:

  • After last week’s high, I definitely had a slumped mood earlier in the week, but was able to nip it in the bud and am back to feeling good!
  • just kidding

4D xray of my left foot!

In other news, my feet are riddled with bone spurs (especially on top – looks like a velociraptor!) SEE SIDE IMAGE —>

  • Caffeine is good for you (in small, well-timed doses).
  • Lastly, I am clearly not among the Twitter-elite but that didn’t stop me from taking part in the #wycwyc (What You Can, When You Can) community Twitter Chat this morning, like a total dork. See all my blabber here!

Links to some additional mentions:
Quad Lock Mounting System – the iPhone mount system I’ll be using in my car and on my bike
Harney & Sons Hot Cinnamon Spice Tea – currently in the tie position for my fave tea

UPDATE: I’ve included an x-ray image here. Check out my awesome claw weapon in the making!

  1. First of all, 1lb is awesome. Br proud. I’m proud of you! I too struggle with anxiety and depression. Sometimes I get totally wound up over the smallest thing. I did it today. I saw something on my lab work that my Doctor didn’t point out or comment on and I went into a huge panic spiral over it. Yoga really pulls me back into myself and lets me get a grip on the out of control thoughts and emotions.

I am jealous of the great bike resources you have in your area. I need to sign up for a bike fitting because my hands kept going numb on longer rides last year. It’s expensive though! I haven’t found a place that does it for under 200.00. And I need new shoes. Why didn’t someone tell me fitness was so expensive? 😉 I’m sorry you are having feet problems and I hope you get some type of workout in!

The QuadLock is cool, I just wish it wasn’t dependant on their case. I gotta keep an Otterbox on my phone. I’m horribly rough on phones, haha.

  2. Thanks for the comment! Fitness *can* be expensive, when you decide to go all in. But for me, it’s worth it. I’m fortunate to be able to have the resources to pursue things that interest me (within reason). I’m saving a ton of money on food, though, so maybe it balances out? Lol! Probably not!

Oh, and this system DOES have an Otterbox worka-around, if you’re handy: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=to_0253xxaU Then again, you may not want to invest just yet. I still need to really try it out!
